Los Amigos del Arte Popular (LADAP) is a national, non-profit organization comprised of collectors, aficionados of Mexican folk art & those who simply love Mexico. Our goal is to promote & educate the public about Mexican folk art. We hope you will join us!
- Membership totals over 350 from 17 states & Mexico
- Dues are $40 per household or $25 individual
- Incorporated with non-profit status
- Website is an on-line museum of Mexican folk art
- Photos of all trips & events are on-line
- Quarterly newsletter mailed to members
- Invitations to all national & international events
- Group trips to Mexico annually (next one to Uruapan & Patzcuaro in March for members only)
- At least two home tours annually within the USA
- Presentation of The Van Deren Coke Annual Achievement Award
- Projects to promote the appreciation of Mexican folk art including one completed - a joint issue of Artes de Mexico
- An active board of directors scattered across the USA
- Email notices of upcoming LADAP events and related news
- A means to have your Mexican folk art news emailed to the membership
Membership Renewal
It is hoped that being able to join and renew on-line will make things easier for everyone and grow our membership. Renewal notices will be sent out annually in January along with invitations to join to everyone on our prospect list and to former members. If you have friends or know anyone who should be invited to join, please send their complete names and mailing addresses to either the Membership Director or the President. Membership is on a calendar year basis – so don’t forget to renew.
